A troupe of classical dancers and musicians · Phnom Penh

Cambodian classical dance, for the occasions that deserve to begin well.

We open buildings, welcome delegations, bless weddings and close gala evenings. Every programme is chosen, choreographed and rehearsed under Serei Van Kosaun, and danced by artists she has trained.

Directed by one teacher

Serei Van Kosaun chooses the dancers, sets the choreography and rehearses each programme before it leaves the studio.

Dancers and musicians

Young classical dancers trained under her, and colleagues from the profession. A live pin peat ensemble joins when the occasion calls for one.

Where the fee goes

To the artists who perform. Engagements are how a classical training becomes a living for the people who have given their youth to it.

Programmes

Each programme is set out on a single sheet: what is danced, by how many, for how long, and what the room must provide. Forward it to whoever is running your day.

  2. Receive a programme and a fee

A sheet proposing what will be danced, by whom, and what it costs.

  3. Rehearsal

The programme is cast and rehearsed. We confirm the floor, the music and the changing room with your venue.

  4. The day

The troupe arrives early, dresses on site and performs to your running order.

When she dances herself

Serei Van Kosaun performs on occasions of state, by arrangement. For every other occasion she sends dancers she has trained and will stand behind.
